The Giving Tree at Northumberland Mall

Celebrate the 36th year of The Giving Tree, a cherished community project bringing holiday joy to children in need across Northumberland County. From November 13 to December 8, 2024, visit Centre Court at Northumberland Mall to find names of local children who would love to receive a Christmas gift. Simply choose a name, purchase a gift, and help make a child’s holiday brighter.

Each year, The Giving Tree provides gifts for over 1,100 children, thanks to the kindness of shoppers like you. In partnership with the Salvation Army, this project allows them to focus on their food campaign, while we ensure that each child receives a gift. (Supporting over 42,000 children since its inception!)

Participating Organizations: The Giving Tree receives gift requests from local organizations dedicated to supporting families, including:

• Community Living Respite Services Northumberland

• Five Counties Children’s Centre

• Highland Shores Children’s Aid Society

• Kinark Child & Family Services

• Northumberland Big Brothers & Big Sisters

• Rebound Youth Services

• Salvation Army Family Services (Cobourg & Port Hope)

• 7 Hills Community Pantry

• And more!

Volunteers help by working shifts, sorting packages, and delivering gifts before Christmas. Join them in making this season special for every child in our community!
