Headliner -Deborah Kimmett
Kimmett is one of Canada’s most brutally honest and hilarious storytellers.” (Steve Patterson, The Debaters)
Very few comedians – much fewer female comedians past 60 have a platform in Canadian media. Her last comedy album Downward Facing Broad aired on CBC Radio to great response and began to tour before the world was shut down. As COVID-19 raged on, the Downward Facing Broad comedy album became number 5 on iTunes! After 17 years on CBC’s radio show The Debaters, Kimmett has an impressive following with CBC audiences.
She is a regular on CBC’s Winnipeg Comedy Festival, LOL and is an accomplished author of four books, Reality is Overrated and That Which Doesn’t Kill You Makes You Funnier, and Out Running Crazy. Mc/Host- Evan Carter
Evan is a legend in the Canadian comedy scene and has been considered by fans and comics alike to be one of the best ever. For years he has been at the top of the heap, and continues to deliver clean and witty comedy as good as it gets.”
The fabulous thing about watching, listening and hiring Evan Carter, is that you know you’re getting a comedian who has truly lived his material.
As a husband, father, sibling and friend. Evan bases his comedy on the belief that we are more alike than different. This belief has made Evan successful wherever he travels.
Evan Carter is a stand-up comedian who was born, raised and still lives in Toronto. Evan’s connectivity to his audience is masterfully achieved by his ability to see the comedic world through the eyes of a father, son, and friend. His likes, dislikes, and head scratching moments provide an endless source of fascination and material that he masterfully delivers on stage in front of head nodding and belly laughing audience members.
Carter’s versatility, experience, and professionalism serve him well and he transitions easily from different venues such as the opening of the 2015 Pam Am Games, to concert halls, working with musical stars such as Gladys Knight, The Temptations, Air Supply, Dionne Warwick, John Cougar, Midnight Oil, the late Marvin Gaye as well as many other top names in the world of show business.
He equally excels at delivering quality performances to private corporate conferences and local fundraisers. Evan has worked on numerous television shows, like “George Stromboulopoulos Tonight”, plus his own half hour specials on CBC and The Comedy Network. On radio, Evan appears regularly on CBC’s “Metro Morning”, “Fresh Air”, “Later the Same Day”, “LOL” and “The Debaters”.
