Sheree Rasmussen is textile artist and a founding member of The Arts & Heritage Centre of Warkworth (Ah!) .

As a maximalist, Sheree is drawn to the idea that simplicity can be achieved through complexity. Like a mandala, created with an understanding of underlying principles, the viewer, taking the time to stop and meditate on the work, can realize unity and a state of balance. This reminds us of our relation to the infinite, that the world extends both beyond and within our bodies and minds. Perhaps not immediately apparent, but patterns emerge and chaos becomes order.
