This is a Free Event!

This competition is open to emerging filmmakers living, studying or working in Ontario and is a special juried short film competition for those who are about to move forward into the film industry.

The Film Forward Competition works to connect filmmakers to industry with donations of equipment, services and mentorships. The Bob Johnston Memorial Award of $1000 will be presented to a post-secondary student enrolled for the 2024/25 academic year in a Film, Animation or Digital Media program.

Films selected as Finalists will be screened and Winners will be announced.
