The second day of the Northumberland Diversity Festival features FUSION Music in the Park!

MY SON THE HURRICANE is a 12-piece brass funk band from Niagara, ON. The band tours internationally and has performed at major festivals in Canada, the USA, and Europe. In 2022, they sold out over 45 shows, proving their popularity. The band's lineup includes trumpets, saxophones, trombones, drums, guitar, keys, percussion, and a dynamic lead vocalist. In 2024, they will embark on a tour with more than 70 dates across Canada, the United States, and Europe, sharing the stage with acts such as Foo Fighters, Jason Isbell, and Colin James.

2015 JUNO (Canada’s Grammy) nominees and SiriusXM winners SULTANS OF STRING create “Energetic and exciting music from a band with talent to burn!” (Maverick Magazine, UK). Thrilling audiences with their genre-hopping passport of Celtic reels, flamenco, Gypsy-jazz, Arabic, Cuban, and South Asian rhythms, fiery violin dances with kinetic guitar, while bass and percussion lay down unstoppable grooves. Throughout, acoustic strings meet with electronic wizardry to create layers and depth of sound. Since forming eight years ago, Sultans of String have hit #1 across Canada on Top 10 national radio charts and received multiple awards and accolades, including 2 JUNO nominations, 1st place in the ISC (out of 15,000 entries), 2 Canadian Folk Music Awards, plus invitations to perform and record with such luminaries as The Chieftains, David Bromberg, and Alex Cuba.
