Chili for the Community is a simple yet meaningful gathering where community members come together to cook, serve, and share chili, starting the year with warmth, kindness, and connection. Inspired by something Maria’s mom used to say—that how we begin the year sets the tone for the months ahead—this event creates a space to kick off the new year in a spirit of service. New Year's Day can often feel lonely, and this gathering offers a chance for everyone to feel seen, included, and valued.

Join us on January 1st at the Greenwood Coalition building, 20 King Street East, for a warm bowl of chili prepared by our community.
