Celebrate Canada in Trent Hills

Campbellford: Old Mill Park- 8am to 12:30pm 

8 am – 10 am: Rotary Pancake Breakfast – Members of the Campbellford Rotary Club serve a pancake breakfast complete with pancakes, sausages and local maple syrup to enjoy on them. $10 for adults 12 and over. $5 for children under 12. The special rate for a family of 4 is $25 (2 adults and 2 children under 12).

9 am: Entertainment by Cindy & Scott. Cindy and Scott are a banjo-driven acoustic duo playing covers of classic country and folk songs with a mix of modern indie.

Park Activities: From 10 am to 12 pm enjoy children’s activities in the park. Games, crafts, face painting, Blades of Glory demonstrations, Trent Hills Fire Department displays, Zach the Juggler and Balloon Artist, and more! Youth and adults can test their skills with Upper Canada Axe Throwing.

10 am: Teddy Bear Parade led by Sparky the Fire Dog! Dress up your teddy bears and Celebrate Canada Day with a parade through Old Mill Park. 

10:30 am: Blades of Glory presents Challenge the Knight. “Challenge a Knight” pits very brave and very young wanna-be sword fighters vs our amazing and Battle hardened Knights in an ultimate showdown.

11:30 am: Blades of Glory presents the Knight Duel. Cheer for your favourite warriors as they fight toward victory in this blood-pumping medieval combat.

12 pm: Official Ceremonies with greetings from dignitaries, singing of O’Canada and serving of cupcakes!

Warkworth: Mill Creek Park- 11am to 2pm

  • Live Entertainment: Musical entertainment at the Band Shell

  • Fun for the kids: Bouncy castle, face painting, games, races and prizes

  • Treats: Hot dogs, popcorn, sno-cones and candy floss

  • Learn from the Trent Hills Firefighters at the Fire Department Display

  • Wear your best red & white outfit! 

Hastings: 8am to 11pm

8 am to noon – Hastings Legion Branch 106 Breakfast

11 am – 1 pm – Hastings Fire Station Open House. Stop by Station 2 in Hastings for an open house. BBQ, hot dogs and drinks. See the trucks and talk with firefighters.

1 pm – Hastings Legion Branch 106 Barbecue

2 pm – Gates open for Party in the Park (15 Front St W – Hastings Village Green, behind the post office)

4 pm – Community Parade: Celebrate with the annual parade. Decorated bikes & wagons, old cars and floats are welcome to participate. Route starts at the Auction Hall (200 Front Street West) and travels along Front Street and Victoria Street.

5 pmParty in the Park — enjoy live entertainment and food vendors, as well as a beverage pavilion featuring local craft beer at the old baseball diamond. Other activities include Upper Canada Axe Throwing and a bouncy castle.

DuskAward-winning Fireworks Display brought to you by the Trent Hills Firefighters. Please be generous when you see firefighters and volunteers passing the boot for donations to support the fireworks display.
